The Spring Folk Concert will give us the chance to hear Mediterranean music performed by the Antoni Leontidis Trio, specifically music from Crete.
Thanks to the partnership the Soinuenea Foundation and the Musikene Conservatoire of Music, this concert will take place in Donostia at the Musikene auditorium.
A concert of traditional Cretan music where you can enjoy the melodies of this Mediterranean island performed by a trio of young musicians. Lyre player Antonis Leontidis combines tradition and innovation: on the one hand, he revises and reinterprets pieces by folk musicians from the early 20th century, and on the other, he creates new works based on tradition. As well as being a musician, he works as a teacher (for example, with the Idiorythmo ensemble).
Following Krifo (2021) and Asprougas (2024), he will present tracks from his third studio album, featuring percussionist Haris Bakas and lauto player Dimitris Kokolakis.
